| Review: | After being incredibly impressed with the Bissell Proheat carpet cleaner, I bought this product for my laminated floors.
The machine has two sides. First you use one side for vacuuming up dust and fluff (it wouldn't be any use on carpets; it's only designed for hard floors), then you "flip-it" over and use the wet side to wash the floor. It has a sort of scrubbing brush insert to use on tiled floors, and a terry cloth pad attachment for laminates, wood and lino. When you pull the trigger, it squirts water and cleaning solution through the pad and it sort of wipes the floor like a wet cloth would, then, when you pull it back, the vacuum and squeegee sucks up all of the dirty water, making the floor dry enough to walk on straight away. When the terry cloth bit gets really dirty, you can wash it in the washing machine. There are two supplied with the machine, but I haven't unwrapped my second one yet, as the first one is still going strong despite being washed 6 times already.
When my flip-it arrived, I had only just cleaned my laminates using a vileda mop and flash laminate cleaner spray, but I wanted to try out my new toy, so I tried it anyway. Even though the floors had been cleaned less than a few hours before, the water that the machine sucked up was black!!
I am so impressed by this product, and I will never use a mop again. I'm now waiting for my vacuum to break down so that I can justify buying another Bissell product. |
