| Review: | We bought this cooker hood because of a good review in Which? The question-mark about noise has not proved too problematic in practice.
One unexpected problem was that the halogen lights proved far too glaring over our highly reflective cooker.Finding lower wattage ones proved difficult - none locally and only one source found nationally/on-line.
Getting the supplied ones out took just as long. They were almost welded into their holders - the design of which severely lets down the otherwise good quality of the product. We trust the suppliers will take this up with the manufacturers.
Also, whether it is worth eroding confidence further by supplying with the product an instruction booklet which in greater part seems to refer to an older model with slider switches and a different style of motor and arrangement for the charcoal
filters.
We are now pleased with its performance, but it has taken a long time to get there.
It also took a long time to get here in the first place -twentyseven days - which ment that ,by the time one got round to reading the small-print,the twenty-eight day period to register for the second-year warranty had obviously come and gone. We made this clear when we sent off the documents, supported by photocopies of the Order Confirmation and Delivery Label - and would expect the supplier to support us should there ever be cause for any warranty claim.
All in all ,an absorbing and never dull journey, prompted only by the fact that the cover of our previous unit kept falling into the cooking because its latches had eventually broken. So far ,our new unit remains resolutely - in the case of the lightbulbs perhaps a little too resolutely , in place and our food is no longer threatened by falling objects.
Yours,
Charles Humphries.

| Review: | Bought because it was only one on market that fitted our hole and had been reviewed by Which?.
Wife thinks it too noisy, even on lowest setting.
But does job very well in an unvented set-up.
Gripes--the bulbs originally fitted were blindingly bright over Aga lids. Finding 25W alternatives was difficult and time-consuming; and getting the original bulbs out of their badly-designed holders was frustratingly consumer-unfriendly. |
