| Review: | This cooker was purchased and has been in use for the past two years. To date I can say that I have been very pleased with the performance of the cooker and double ovens. The cooker has two mid-sized burners at the back, a large wok-sized burner at the front and a small burner at the front. The wok-sized burner is very handy and a large wok sits comfortably and stably on this burner. The wok also gets heated very quickly using this burner. The two back burners are ideal for everyday use, though the small front burner hardly gets used. The cast iron pan supports are very sturdy and was one of the reasons I chose this cooker; much better than enamel pan supports. The cooker top is easy to clean, once spills are wiped up soon.
The double oven feature is very handy. The small oven can take two shelves and is ideal for quick baking (such as pizzas, muffins, cookies, cakes etc). The only downside is that this top oven takes a long time to pre-heat. The bottom oven, which is a fan oven, pre-heats very quickly and is good for larger meals, roasts etc. The ovens are self-cleaning and the glass on the oven doors is simple to remove and wash.
The timer controls are handy, and an alarm goes off if the timer is set.
Being a dual fuel cooker gives the best of both, as in my opinion gas is better for cooking and the electric ovens are much easier to use than a gas oven. This cooker also has an energy efficiency rating of “A”, which was another reason I chose this cooker over other brands (some of the more costly brands were not even “A”-rated).
The only downside is that I have found the silver paint is wearing off on the control knobs.
To summarise, I would highly recommend this cooker as it is excellent value for money and performs well. |
