| Review: | A good machine as opposed to great. It works, but my grandmothers old one was better made, but then again, those were the days when everyone had one and the competition was the same as washing machines are today. The support legs make it very sturdy, when you have something spinning that fast, you need it to be. Drains well, but mechanism closing could be better designed/beefed up. Initially new slightly burning smell was a little worrying, but went away shortly after first couple of uses. have to say, VERY impressed with applianceplanet. Had slight delay, kept me informed and when called to enquire, and they were busy, got the standard "we will call you back" line, well, breaking news, they DID!!!
They explained everything, and true to their word, it arrived as they said. Overall, would use applianceplanet again, and because of the support legs, the spin dryer. |

Works as expected (very good). Gets clothes to a dryness that you would call damp but not so damp as to be called wet. In my opinion this would be impossible to achieve by hand.
Environmentally this spinner combined with hand washing (or a manual laundering device) makes a nice little reduction in power use (good for envirionment and good for pocket). |

| Review: | I decided to look for a spin dryer as while we are renovating a house, we are living in rented accomodation where I have no choice than to tumble dry all the washing. The tumble dryer seemed to be on all the time and the electricity bills were huge!.
I chose this model of spin dryer for two reasons. Firstly I have rheumatoid arthritis and noticed that the closing mechanism/lever on top of the dryer is a very large chunky slide across arm. This is really easy to operate, and safe. I tend to switch it off at the wall first, then when it has slowed down a bit slide the arm back which immediately stops it.
Secondly the stabalising feet under the dryer on this model are positioned in such a way that it is easy to get an old ice cream tub/container right up close to the spinner to catch the water.
DO read the instructions and only fill three quaters full, placing the items fairly evenly. It doesn't come with a rubber disc to place on top of the washing, but suggests you keep something to place on top of the washing and tuck it firmly down at the sides, I keep an old t-towel for this which works really well. I once filled it nearly full and washing did get caught and marked, so I won't do that again.
Like all spin dryers the capacity of the drum is small, and it takes about 4 to 5 times to get a full washing machine load through. However it is WELL WORTH IT. I let it spin for about 3 minutes each load and get a fair bit of water out. this has cut my tumble drying time by at least half. Also it is eco friendly, saving electricity, and I put the water that comes out on my houseplants!
I am so impressed with this that I am making sure there is space for it out against the wall in my new utility room permanently, as I know I sall be using it all the time. The feet are rubber, I presume to stabalise it while spinning, so if you needed to slide it out from under a worksurface that may not be easy if you are eldery or disabled. It is worth noting that my washing machine has one of the fastest spins on the market, but I still get a fair bit of water out after using the spin dryer. I would urge you to buy one it's worth the effort. |

then it developed a malfunction in the braking system.On contacting Appliance Planet the customer service was first class with their help the dryer was replaced and is working perfectly.To anyone who wishes to save on laundry cost I would highly recommend the Frigidaire gravity spin dryer |

Excess water spout at a good level for a basin to go underneath. Cord storage facility on outside is good.

Main dislike is that it frequently leaps about the floor quite violently, however carefully the items to dry are placed inside. | Review: | Basically, the spinner works fine. The most annoying drawback is that if the load is not evenly balanced then it becomes very unstable (the drum will thrash around more violently as the speed increases) until it is stopped and the load redistributed more evenly. So it is not as simple as throw the wet clothes in and away it goes, you need to think about what you are doing and make sure the load is even. Then it works fine. It does not come with anything to put in on top of the load to prevent items coming out of the top of the drum, so you will need to check occasionally that no small items end up outside the drum (these can be retreaved by moving the drum hard to one side and using a thin stick or outer concoction to recover the item).
The spinner we got originally did suffer a major failure (sort of exploded - top and adjacent fixing failed), but the motor still worked fine. It was readily replaced, and the replacement seems fine so far. |

| Review: | This gravity spin dryer scores high on its looks, value for money and quality of manufacture. It met both my most important criteria, price and size. I have a very small utility area and a low income!
I was less impressed by the dryer's habit of making a load clatter and taking itself off for a walk when the load was not balanced. When loaded well, it worked quietly and efficiently. The amount of water it removed cut down the drying time of towels and bedding and made handwashed sweaters fluffy.
Note of caution, keep fingers away from the end of the powerful spring-loaded closing 'arm' when shutting lid. It can flick a very painful blow, so please keep children well clear.
Ideal for small households, flats, bedsits and caravans.

| Review: | This is a great little spinner. When loaded correctly it is amazingly quiet. I've given a 9 for functionality only because the drum is on the small side.
Clothes come out of it damp rather than wet, with even some dry patches in places.
I can get nearly half a litre of water out of a load of washing AFTER a spin at 1000rpm in my machine.
I have a variable spin on my 10 year old washer, so I've set it to 600rpm now so hopefully it will last longer.
I really don't know why I have never had one of these before!
Very efficient delivery from applianceplanet too, would definitely buy from them again. |

| Review: | An excellent product, I particularly like the lid lock much easier that my last one. Only down side is its quite small & does not hold much, would prefer it be to taller and hold more as it puts a strain on the back bending over it; although the small size helps its stability; it doesn't rock or the drum bang with uneven loads. Would probably have another one, but would take more notice of load size when comparing makes. |

| Review: | Bear in mind I'm an old fogey with no post-1970 machines to compare to.!... + All spinners I looked at online seemed overpriced, this one slightly less so.
+ Simple to operate, safety arm is the on/off switch
+ Does get things much drier than your auto machine, so you can hang them up overnight to dry, or quick tumble.
+ It has plenty of room under the outlet for a washing-up bowl to catch the waste.
-:Disappointed with how small it is inside, maybe they're all like that these days, but I was expecting to get a washload in! not a few articles.
-:Mostly irritated by how "fussy" it is, with load balance- have to reorganise the things several times.
Very Good for emergencies /handwashing /one person
Not worth the hassle for a family-sized wash

| Review: | I had one of these dryers a few years ago and decided that it was time to have another one because the washing machine I have just does not spin out the clothes dry enough to put over the radiator. I ordered this machine which came very efficiently and it certainly was an improvement on the old one. Much more sleek looking and surprisingly quiet and sturdy to use in the corner of the kitchen. Most impressively of all it takes out a further litre of water from a full load after being spun in the washing machine. I fully recommend this machine. |

| Review: | I have used this spinner virtually every day since purchase and now I regard it as an essential item.
After using it, my tumble dryer goes on now for only 20mins per load which produces nearly dry virtually crease free laundry. Washing can now finish off drying overnight out of the way on hangers hung from two very cheap shower rails we bought to go over the bath. Smalls can now be pegged onto hangers too and dry in no time, again, out of the way in the airing cupboard. Now I have no washing hanging around the house, and I have no ironing either, bliss!
I can now put my aging washer on a low spin speed to preserve its life because this spinner spins at an amazing 2800rpm.
It is really quite quiet considering what it is doing. Once I know it has reached its top speed and is nicely balanced I can get on with something else in the kitchen and let it get on and do its job. I turn it off when it gets to the stage when only drips come out. Note, you should not leave it unattended.
It has a fairly small drum. It takes about 4-5 goes to spin a full washing load. The only thing I can't get in that I would have liked to is my son's duvet (single) which I do have to wash from time to time. This isn't too much of a problem though.
The best way to fill it I have found is to roll items up like a sausage and twist so it wrings itself while spinning and gets even more water out. That way you can get more things in up to the recommended 3/4 fill level. I don't put anything on top to keep the washing in I just make sure that I don't fill too high and nothing has got damaged so far.
I did not buy this item for its looks so I did not include that category in my overall rating of 10.
Also, I have to add that applianceplanet were very good too. The item was stated as being in-stock on their website when it actually wasn't. I got a nice call to appologise and say it would take longer and my next day delivery cost was promptly refunded. The item eventually came as promised, 7 days after the order was placed. I would definitely buy from them again.

| Review: | we bought this model to replace one which we have used for 25 years. First impressions are that this one is better designed and of sturdy construction.It is not of intrusive appearance and should one wish to move it about, is easy to lift. It is in use every day and performs well, most items being dry enough to iron directly or with only a short "airing" time. we consider it to be excellent value for money and since the makers have kept it simple there are few things to go wrong, especially if you read the instruction book. |

| Review: | I ordered this machine for my 80 year old mother who lives in sheltered accommodation and does not always wish to the communial washing/drying faciliies. The lid clamp/handle is a bit stiff to operate. and due to value engineering the machine feels lighter than older versions of the same model and although stiff to operate the lid locking handle construction feels under engineered. But minor critcisms in view of price and product usefulness. Mum's opinion: "Would n't be without my little machine." |

| Review: | The Frigidaire spin dryer was purchased for my mother who is in her late eighties to replace one she had had for many years. It has proved to be an outstanding buy for her.
A little smaller than some other dryers on the market, its useful capacity, however, is no different. Completely filling the larger dryer would tend to result in an unbalanced load or less thoroughly dried clothes.
The unit is highly efficient and dries clothes to the point where she can finish off drying them quickly on an outside clothes line or an rack indoors.
The quality of the finish seems superior to some I looked at, the quality of the plastic mouldings for example.
The dryer is pretty stable in operation, even with only three feet. These, however, appear well positioned.
The only slight negative for her is the spring loaded catch. It has a good positive action, but the moulding around the lever, and the strength of the spring mean that you have to be very careful when rotating the lever to start the machine. Both my mother and I have had our fingers pinched .
Having said that, with a little care, it is possible to hold the lever in such a way that this doesn't happen.
Overall, my mother is thrilled with the product and its efficiency, and I would highly recommend it for consideration. |

| Review: | I'm very happy with this product.I couldn't believe the amount of water that came out after a normal wash cycle. Clothes take half the time to dry in the tumble dryer. The product is neat enough to fit under my kitchen sink when not is use. My only (minor) gripe is that no rubber mat (to put on top of items to be spun) was not included. |
