60 Minute Makeover is a popular British daytime home interior design television programme, broad-casted on ITV.

On Wednesday 23rd March In Southend-On-Sea, home owner Christine was pleasantly surprised to learn that her house has been redecorated by the 60 Minute Make Over ITV Team organised by her family. With Christine's husband James extremely busy with his job and studies, the family had little time left to decorate their home.

Appliance Planet helped designer Catherine Gee and Ann Hazell complete the kitchen, the essential heart of any household.

Christine had no idea that the team of 60 Minute Makeover were in her home working hard to give her the beautiful home she deserves.

Appliance Planet were honoured to help the ITV programme with providing the appliances, as the 60 Minute Makeover team not only redecorated the owners house but also wanted to supply the family with the luxury of brand new white goods, in order to have a functioning beautiful home.

Appliance Planet along with the help of Indesit were able to supply a washing machine and fridge freezer to complete the home's make over.

Background on 60 Minute Makeover show

The challenge is to redecorate and makeover a number of rooms in a house in 60 minutes. The house owner is usually nominated by a relative or friend for a secret visit by the 60 Minute Makeover team who remodel their house whilst they are away.

The team has the task of completing the total renovation before the house owner returns home. The house owner earning the makeover is often in need of help due to illness or difficult times which adds to their emotional reaction to the completed makeover. The cost of the makeover is stated at the end of each show for the viewers information which obviously excludes the labour fees. This is a great way to show where you can get the best buys and give an audience ideas to generate a new fresh home without the need to move.
